Property Management Assistant

Description
We are looking to expand our team with a Property Management Assistant, who will support day-to-day operations. Tasks may include:
- Plan and manage recurring maintenance tasks (e.g., changing air filters, clearing leaves)
- Diagnose and complete minor repairs submitted by tenants (e.g., dripping faucets)
- Coordinate with outside contractors for larger or specialized repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Inspect apartments after move-out and coordinate turnover tasks (deep cleaning, repainting, repairs, etc.)
- Conduct apartment showings with prospective tenants
Schedule
This is an hourly position. The schedule is flexible and is expected to require approximately 8 to 10 hours per week. Actual hours will fluctuate week-to-week based on needs. The Property Management Assistant may set their schedule within the working hours of 8 AM to 6PM Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
- Warm, professional demeanor toward tenants, contractors, homeowners, and other team members
- Independent worker: able to prioritize and execute a diverse list of tasks in a timely manner with limited oversight
- Actively communicates with tenants and contractors via phone or text to confirm appointments and to follow up on any pending issues
- Consistently shows up on time for planned property visits or appointments
- Has a proactive attitude toward resolving any issues flagged by tenants or contractors; takes ownership of the problem and ensures it is resolved quickly and satisfactorily.
- Can confidently diagnose basic issues and carry out minor repairs on most household appliances and fixtures
- Must have a car and be able to drive oneself to properties and stores for supplies
- English fluency required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
